Partial Vehicle Wrap for NoPoopStains, Bellflower

Vehicle Wrap by Iconography. Iconography has done it again!  We are proud to have designed, produced and installed this awesome partial wrap on a Honda CRV for our favorite company name!

Our customer No Poop Stains is a laundry cleaning service in Bellflower, CA.  The company is the best in the area and the name is just what they do, they make sure you have no poop stains (or any stains)!

To begin the process for this wrap, we received all the art files that the customer wanted to include in the wrap.  We had a design consult to hear what the customer envisioned for the wrap.  We got to work on the design and sent a proof out to the customer.  Proofs are a mock up that show the customer what the design will look like.  Once we received an approval for the design, we put the wrap into production.  This includes the material being print, laminated, trimmed and cut to prepare for the installation.

Once, the material was all ready we got onto the installation phase.  The installation began with the driver side, then passenger, then the rear and then the hood.  The process is almost like a puzzle, because you need to do it in a correct so that the finished project is amazing!   Seeing the installation process is always a treat here and seeing the completed project is always a great sight!

How To Design a Vehicle Wrap

Designing a car wrap involves using design software with vehicle templates, focusing on clear branding, legible text, and high-contrast visuals that flow with the car’s shape, all while paying close attention to precise measurements and areas that need to be cut out (windows, handles) to ensure the final print aligns perfectly and functions as intended. Start with a clear brand message, create scalable vector designs on the correct template, and work with an experienced installer to handle complex prep and application.

Preparation & Planning is Key

  1. Get the Right Template: Use professional vehicle wrap templates for your specific make and model, available in design software.
  2. Measure & Inspect: No template is perfect; physically measure the vehicle and note any imperfections (dents, rust) that might affect the wrap.
  3. Gather Assets: Collect high-resolution logos, brand colors (CMYK/Pantone), and fonts.
  4. Define Your Message: Keep text short, actionable, and readable from a distance, using bold colors and high contrast

Car Wrap Design Design Process Must-Have’s

  1. Software: Use vector-based software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW for scalable graphics.
  2. Use Layers: Keep your template, background, and foreground elements on separate layers, with the template on top for guidance.
  3. Create a Mask: Mask out areas like windows, door handles, mirrors, and lights so the design doesn’t print there.
  4. Design for the Vehicle: Let the car’s natural lines, curves, and features guide your design, making graphics flow seamlessly.
  5. Avoid Overwhelm: Don’t clutter the design; a simple, clear message often works best for business wraps.

Technical Execution

  1. Use Vector Graphics: Whenever possible, use vectors for logos and text so they remain sharp when scaled to the size of a van or truck.
  2. Account for “Bleed”: Extend your design 2–3 inches beyond the template edges to allow for trimming during the physical installation.
  3. Mind the Obstacles: Avoid placing important text or logos over complex curves, deep recesses, door handles, or windows where the vinyl might be cut or distorted

Finalizing & Printing Your Car Wrap

  1. Scale Correctly: Design at 1/20th scale, but ensure the final file is large and high-resolution for printing.
  2. File Preparation: Work with your wrap provider to ensure files meet their specific requirements (bleed, color profiles).
  3. Professional Installation: Hire an experienced installer to ensure proper vehicle prep (cleaning) and application for longevity
