Custom Window Wraps for New City School

Looking for a creative way to block the afternoon sun from your windows, yet still want to be able to enjoy the view? Then our window wraps on perforated film may be just the answer.

The New City School in Long Beach, CA was looking for a solution to lessen the effects of the afternoon sun on their front office, and provide privacy along busy Long Beach Boulevard, while at the same time allowing people inside the building to see out of the building. Our window wraps on perforated graphic window film was the answer. And, when the graphic design was added to complete the project, the bonus was the beautification of an otherwise drab curb view.

Perforated window film is very similar to most window and wall wrap materials, other than the tiny holes that are cut in the material to allow light and visibility to pass through. Most often, perforated window film is laminated to protect the film, and to maintain the visibility when the film is wet with rain. The graphics that are printed on the front of the film is what creates the privacy screen.

Almost any graphic design can be printed on window perforated film, but the designs that work best are generally bold with strong lines and colors. The perforations are typically either 30% or 40% of the film, so adjustments in design need to be made to make up for the 30% or 40% of the the missing material and therefore the missing design. Our in-house design team are experts at creating designs that look great on perforated films, and are available to help you translate your design into one that will work.

We have installed perforated window treatments on both interior and exterior windows in both commercial and residential settings. Have an idea for a window wrap project? Give the experts at Iconography a call today at 562-424-4353.
