Environmental Graphics on Double-Sided Glass Wall, Los Angeles

Environmental graphics printed and installed by Iconography Studios. We are proud to have produced and installed this amazing graphic wall wrap for AECOM located in Century City in Los Angeles. CA.

This wall graphic was applied as mirror images to each side of a glass wall at the AECOM offices in Century City. Because the design included a significant portion of white, and the wrap needed to be printed on clear material to achieve the desired effect, we swapped out our ink sets on our Roland large format digital printed to include white ink. The art files was then printed twice, once as a complete mirror image of the original file. The trickiest part was making sure the prints lined up exactly during installation, but for our skilled and expert installation team it was more a matter of patience than know-how.

Custom wall graphics and/or custom wallpapers are easy in any office or home setting. Custom wallpaper is a wall covering that is made to order from a user-provided image or design, rather than being a pre-made, off-the-shelf product. It is created by uploading an image and providing specific measurements, which is then printed to perfectly fit the user’s wall. This allows for personalization with photos, artwork, or logos and is often provided in numbered, pre-cut panels for easier installation.

What Are Environmental Graphics?

Environmental graphics are displays like signage, murals, and wraps that enhance a space, guiding visitors and employees while improving the aesthetic and function of a physical environment. These graphics are used to create a unique experience, inform and direct people, strengthen a brand’s story, and evoke emotions. They can be flat, 3D, or integrated directly into architecture, and are considered a key part of architectural and interior design.

Environmental Graphics For Bank Lobby

Environmental graphics, or Environmental Graphic Design (EGD), use graphic elements like typography, color, imagery, and texture to improve how people experience a physical space. This multidisciplinary field blends graphic design with architecture, interior design, and landscape to create environments that help people navigate, understand, and connect with their surroundings, whether for wayfinding, branding, or storytelling.

Environmental graphics are found in a wide variety of settings, including:

  • Corporate Offices: Mission statements on walls, custom wallpapers, and dimensional logo signs to reinforce company culture.
  • Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities: Clear, modern wayfinding signage to reduce anxiety and provide clarity for patients and visitors.
  • Retail Stores: Bold graphics and interactive displays to guide shoppers, create immersive brand experiences, and boost sales.
  • Airports and Transit Hubs: Integrated systems of signage, maps, and digital displays to facilitate efficient movement of large crowds.
  • Museums and Exhibitions: Informative and captivating displays, timelines, and interactive media to tell stories and engage visitors.
  • Sports Arenas: Large-scale murals and bold graphics that capture team spirit and engage fans.

Environmental graphic design often requires collaboration between graphic designers, architects, interior designers, and landscape designers to ensure a seamless integration of the visual elements with the physical structure. At Iconography Studios we are experienced in working with your partners across all of these disciplines to help bring your vision to life.
