Trailer graphic wrap by Iconography. Nothing promotes your business like a full vinyl vehicle wrap on a 53′ trailer! This custom graphic wrap on a 53′ trailer for the Trojan Battery company headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, CA literally drives their branding.
If you have a large trailer, truck or other billboard-sized vehicle in your fleet, you really can’t afford NOT to wrap it. Mobile billboards, or vehicle wraps, are the most cost-effective form of outdoor advertising. Outdoor Advertising Magazine said that outdoor mobile media billboards have a 97% recall rate, and 96% of survey respondents thought mobile advertising is more effective than traditional outdoor advertising.

Wrapping a trailer, truck, or other vehicle is easy. Whether you have existing artwork or a cracker-jack art department to create your imagery, or if you need help with your design from concept through production, we can help. We have put together this process that we have found to be the most efficient way of getting from design to completion of your wrap:
1. RESEARCH: If you do not already have a design concept in mind, spend some time researching what you like and what you don’t like when it comes to trailer graphic wraps. Do some searching on Google images and find at least three examples of wraps or other images that you love, as well as several pictures of designs that you really don’t like at all. This contrast will help our design team to quickly get a feel for your aesthetic preferences.
2. CONSULT: After we receive your deposit and your art files, we will schedule a consultation for you to meet with our design team either over the phone or in person, which ever you prefer. During this time, we will ask questions to understand what you expect to achieve from your wrap, what messaging you want to convey, and how the wrap fits with your overall marketing strategy.
3. DESIGN: After the consultation, we will begin working on your design. Our in-house graphic designers are real people trained in graphic design and specifically vehicle wrap design. Depending on the scope of the project, we will have initial concepts and/or proofs for your review within 24-72 hours. Most of our design packages comes with two rounds of change requests that you can make after the initial proofs. Our design fees are all agreed to by you before any work is done.
AI Wrap designs are cheap and can be easily found. However, in our experience, this is not an area where you want to try to save money. Here is why:
WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID AI WRAP DESIGNS FOR YOUR TRAILER GRAPHIC WRAP
AI-designed vehicle wraps should generally be avoided because they produce low-resolution, non-vector files that blur when scaled, ignore real-world vehicle dimensions (curves, door handles), and create generic, unoriginal, or overly busy designs. They fail to consider crucial installation constraints, often leading to increased costly rework. Here are the specific reasons to avoid AI for car wrap design:
- Poor Print Quality: AI generates raster images (JPEGs/PNGs) rather than scalable vector graphics, resulting in pixelation, blurry images, and poor, “cheap” quality when scaled to full vehicle size.
- Lack of Practicality: AI designs often ignore the physical constraints of a vehicle, placing text over panel breaks, handles, or sharp curves, which makes installation difficult or impossible.
- No Technical Accuracy: Designs rarely match the exact, precise measurements of the specific make and model of the vehicle.
- Generic/Unoriginal Content: AI models often mix common elements, leading to uninspired, “lazy” designs that fail to stand out.
- Difficult Revisions: AI struggles to implement small, specific changes, often redesigning the entire concept rather than modifying it, leading to client frustration.
- Increased Labor Costs: Due to the issues above, print shops and designers often spend more time fixing or re-creating AI files than they would have by starting from scratch.
While AI can offer quick, initial conceptual mockups, it is not a replacement for a professional designer who understands the technical, functional, and creative requirements of a successful car wrap.
4. PRODUCTION: Once your design is complete and you have signed off on the final proofs, we will send your wrap to our production team where it will be printed, laminated, trimmed and made ready for installation. At this time, we will also schedule the time for your vehicle wrap installation, whether you are having it done by our in-house installation team or one of our off-site installers located in all 50 States.
