Ford Transit Connect Graphic Wrap, Los Alamitos CA

Transit Connect Graphic by the vehicle wrap experts at Iconography. We are proud to have designed, produced and installed this graphic wrap for a Ford Transit Connect for Katella Deli, a local landmark of Southern California and Los Alamitos.

In fact, we are thrilled to be helping Katella Deli with their entire graphics upgrade and rebranding from indoor and outdoor signage to vehicle wraps, including this Ford Transit Connect, and a custom designed wrap on a Toyota Prius for one of their brands, Manhattan Beach Creamery

Ford Transit Connect graphic fleet

A Ford Transit Connect is a natural canvass for both advertising wraps as well as customized designs to truly personalize the vehicle. Whether you are using your Transit Connect to advertise and promote your business, or you just want to dress it up with a custom graphic design, the steps are pretty much the same:

Transit Connect Graphic Wrap Process:
  1. DESIGN: Designing a vehicle wrap is a multi-stage journey that moves from initial strategy to high-precision application. The first step is to create a two-dimensional proof on paper of what will be your three-dimensional vehicle wrap. Whether you already have your artwork and design in mind or even created, or whether you need something created from scratch, we can help. You will always have final sign off and approval of all artwork before it goes into production.
    • Planning & Strategy: The process begins with defining your advertising goals and target audience. You’ll need to decide on the level of coverage from spot graphics which includes simple logos and contact info on specific panels, to a partial wrap that covers roughly 25% to 75% of the vehicle, often blending with the original paint. A full wrap is a total transformation covering the entire exterior for maximum impact.
    • Measurements & Templates: Accuracy is non-negotiable. Our designers use specialized vehicle templates (typically at 1/20th scale) to ensure graphics align with doors, handles, and bumpers. We also include manual measurements to verifying the template against the physical vehicle to prevent “floating” logos or text cut off by seams.
    • Creative Design: Using software like Adobe Illustrator (for vector graphics) and Photoshop (for mockups), the design is built with these key principles in mind:
      • Readability: Text should be legible from at least 50 feet away while the vehicle is in motion
      • Brand Consistency: Use consistent brand colors, fonts, and high-resolution imagery (avoiding pixelation).
      • Contours: Our designers must “leverage the shape” of the vehicle, ensuring key information isn’t lost in deep curves or door handles.
    • Proofing & Final Approval
Our design team provides a digital proof (a 2D mockup) showing how the wrap looks on your specific vehicle. This is the stage for revisions—typically, shops include 1–2 rounds of changes before finalizing the print files.

2. PRODUCTION: After you have approved your transit connect graphic design, our production department begins building print files, printing the design onto the appropriate material using one of our large format digital printers, and finally laminating the material with a UV-protective laminate to aide in preventing fading and minor scratches. The design is printed on high-quality vinyl (often 3M or Avery Dennison), and then left to off-gas for several days to ensure integrity of the material. After off-gassing, a clear UV-protective laminate layer is applied to prevent fading and scratches.

3. INSTALLATION: After the material is through production it is ready for installation on your vehicle. We prefer to do vehicle wrap installations in our clean, controlled environment for optimum results.

The most important thing to remember to ensure your wrap lasts as long as possible is to KEEP IT CLEAN! Dirt, pollution, and other debris that is left to sit on the car for too long can begin to eat away at the laminate. Your wrap can simply be hosed off and dried with a soft cloth – we recommend doing this at least once a week. A no-touch car wash can also be used. Avoid abrasive brushes and power sprayers.
