Iconography Studios is proud to be the recipient of yet another Feller’s Vehicle Wrap contest, this time for our original vehicle wrap design for Los Alamitos-based business On Time Shutters & Blinds.
Our client was looking for a fun vehicle wrap design that incorporated their colors, branding and messaging, and could easily be applied to different sized vehicles in their fleet, including a Nissan NV and a Toyota Prius.
Designing vehicle wraps and graphics is a niche area for graphic designers. A successful vehicle wrap design will be both eye-catching and easily understood by the audience. It also needs to be sized to fit a 3-D object in the production phase.
Our top-notch team of graphic artists have put together these three simple guidelines for vehicle wrap designs, which all stem from a common concept: keep it simple.
1. Text – keep it simple and limited. Your audience may only have a few seconds to absorb your message on your vehicle. Name, website and brand recognition are key. Save the detail for your website and other marketing materials.
2. Colors – again, keep it simple and make sure your colors are complementary. Too many colors or competing colors will distract from your overall messaging.
3. Complexity – again, the design needs to be simple. You really only have room for ONE message. Make sure your design supports and builds that message and does not distract from it.
